About us

The Triathlon Section of Club Natació Badalona is a growing and ambitious project built on the strong sporting tradition of Club Natació Badalona.

Our goal is to transmit the love for sport that generations of athletes have lived and shared within the club throughout its history. Club Natació Badalona will celebrate its centenary in 2029 and is an institution with a deep-rooted tradition, especially in swimming and aquatic sports.

Badalona, with more than 250,000 inhabitants, is the third largest city in Catalonia. The club enjoys a privileged and iconic location right in front of the Mediterranean Sea, and it also has a unique open-water swimming channel, developed by the club itself and open to the whole community, making it a reference space for sport practice.

Our culture is based on commitment, teamwork, personal development, and a passion for endurance sports. We welcome athletes of all levels, from those discovering triathlon for the first time to experienced competitors aiming to continue improving their performance.

We believe in long-term athlete development, creating a positive training environment where members can learn, enjoy the process, and grow both as athletes and as people. The club promotes values such as respect, consistency, healthy lifestyle habits, and mutual support.

Through structured coaching, group training sessions, and participation in regional and national competitions, we aim to build a strong and united triathlon community, proudly representing Badalona and keeping alive the sporting legacy that has defined the club for almost a century.

Why join us

What makes Club Natació Badalona Triathlon Section special is the combination of history, location, and human environment.

We are a club with almost a century of sporting tradition, deeply rooted in swimming and aquatic sports, located in a truly unique setting right in front of the Mediterranean Sea. This identity gives our training environment an authentic and inspiring character.

Our open-water swimming channel, available to the whole community, is a key differentiating element and reflects the club’s commitment to making sport accessible and part of everyday life in the city.

Over our history, we have developed elite and Olympic athletes, including Mireia Belmonte in swimming, a world reference in our sport.

In triathlon, the club’s Technical Director, Jordi Garcia, has been a professional triathlete with a 8th place finish at the Elite European Triathlon Championships. He was also part of the coaching staff at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, where a Triathlon Olympic Diploma was achieved. This experience reinforces our commitment to quality, knowledge, and high performance.

We are not focused only on performance. We focus on long-term development, consistency, and enjoying the process. We welcome athletes of all levels and create a supportive environment where everyone can grow at their own pace.

What truly defines us is the atmosphere: a close, committed group that values effort, respect, and continuity over short-term results.

To be part of our club is to join a sporting family, in a privileged environment, with a strong tradition and a clear commitment to developing people through endurance sports.

What makes us different than the others

Something that really makes our club stand out is the combination of a strong sporting tradition with a very human, close and familiar environment.

We are a club with almost 100 years of history, deeply connected to the sea and to the swimming culture in Badalona. This gives us a unique identity and a strong sense of belonging.

We also have a clear commitment to long-term development, where athletes are guided step by step, without shortcuts, always considering the person behind the athlete.

Finally, our location right in front of the Mediterranean and our open-water swimming channel make the daily training environment truly special and accessible for the whole community.

And on top of that, we love sport; we are truly in love with what we do, and it shows in our daily work.
