20 of the world’s best professional triathletes in each gender will battle it out over a season of 7 whirlwind 100km races, in iconic locations around the globe. With a 2km swim, 80km bike and 18km run at each race, it’s a true test of the ultimate triathlon talent.
The season leads the road to the Dubai T100 World Championship Final in November 2024 where we will crown the first-ever T100 World Champions.

2024 Athletes
The highest placings in the 2023 PTO World Rankings qualified the first 16 men and women for the inaugural 2024 T100 Triathlon World Tour. These top-ranked athletes are joined by 4 ‘Hot Shots’ per gender – stars of the sport whose proven pedigree makes them a serious threat to upset the standings. Each race will also feature a number of Wildcard athletes – picked based on recent performances or meteoric rises through the PTO World Rankings.

The T100 Triathlon Series
With 7 races in the 2024 T100 Triathlon World Tour, each contracted pro must race a minimum of 4 events plus the Dubail T100 Triathlon World Championship Final.
The sum of each athlete’s 3 best point-scoring performances plus their score from the Dubai T100 Triathlon World Championship Final – where more points are on offer – will give each athlete’s total score.
The female and male athlete with highest total will be crowned the first-ever T100 Triathlon World Champion.
For athletes also racing in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the minimum required races is 3 plus the T100 World Championship Final.

20 athletes of each gender will line up for each T100 Triathlon race. Based on their own race selection, this will be a mix of contracted athletes and Hot Shots with Wildcards filling any remaining spaces. Every finishing position earns points, from 35 points for 1st place to 1 point for 20th. To spice up the climax of the season, the Dubai T100 Triathlon World Championship Final will offer even more points to keep every athlete fighting for each position.

Ties
If athletes are tied in the T100 Triathlon World Tour standings, the following tie-breaker logic is applied:
- Best T100 Triathlon World Championship Final finishing position
- If T100 Triathlon World Championship Final not yet raced, best position in a T100 Triathlon race
- If still tied, most recent best position takes priority
Prior to the Dubai T100 World Championship Final, the criterion is the best position in a T100 Triathlon race. If one athlete has a 2nd place finish (earning 28 points) and another athlete has two 8th place finishes (2x 14 points), the athlete with the 2nd place finish would be higher in the standings.
If two tied athletes both have a 3rd place finish, the athlete who has most recently achieved the 3rd place would be higher in the standings.
T100 Earnings
In addition to over $3M in athlete contracts, there will be $250k up for grabs at each T100 Triathlon World Tour event ($125k per gender), totalling $2M over the 8-race T100 Triathlon World Tour, plus a huge end-of-season payout total of $2M paying down to 20th – with each T100 World Champion bagging an extra $210,000 for securing the top spot. All this means each and every point scored will make a difference.

If the points, prize money and T100 Triathlon World Championship titles weren’t enough, there’s also the opportunity for athletes to earn their T100 Triathlon contract for 2025 – or the jeopardy of losing their place in the series if they don’t perform. The top 10 athletes in the T100 Triathlon standings at the end of the season will guarantee themselves a T100 contract in 2025, whether they are a 2024 contracted athlete, Hotshot or a Wildcard.
The next 6 contracted athletes for 2025 will be decided through analysis of PTO World Rankings and those who’ve shone with standout performances in the 2024 season. The final 4 contracts will go to Hotshot athletes – those with the x-factor to shake up the racing regardless of their PTO World Ranking position or recent long-distance triathlon performances. That could be a former all-star coming back from injury or an Olympian making the move to long-distance racing.

PTO WRS Scoring For
While the simplified scoring system for the T100 Triathlon standings will decide the winner of the T100 Triathlon World Tour, athletes will also receive scores for their PTO World Ranking based on the current PTO World Ranking System rules. This allows T100 athletes to factor in the PTO World Rankings alongside those doing other professional races.
All T100 Triathlon World Tour races will be classified as the highest ‘Diamond Tier’ for PTO World Rankings, this is due to the events meeting the criteria for $500,000 prize money when dividing the end-of-series prize pool (and athlete contracts) among the races. This is the same method used to allocate tiers for the Challenge Family World Bonus and the Ironman® Pro Series.
