2025 T100 Pro Athletes

20 pro women and 20 pro men will line up at each T100 Triathlon World Tour race in the hunt for a slice of the $250,000 prize money at each event and crucial T100 standings points, which will see the T100 Triathlon World Champion earn an additional $200,000.

The 2025 roster is made up of 2 types of contracted athletes: those who finished in the top-10 of the 2024 T100 Triathlon World Tour series or the PTO World Rankings; and Hot Shots, picked to shake things up. You can also lookout for Wildcard athletes, who aren’t contracted to race, but can still earn prize money, points and the chance at a 2026 contract.

Top RANKED Athletes

Contracted male and female athletes have earned their place in the 2025 T100 Triathlon World Tour. The top-10 of the 2024 T100 Triathlon World Tour standings receive an automatic invite for 2025, while the remaining slots are filled from the PTO World Rankings, reflective of outstanding performances in 2024.

Hot SHOT Athletes

Hot Shots make up the remaining roster of 20 athletes. All proven performers from the world of triathlon, they earn a T100 contract due to being on the cusp last season, those moving up from shorter-distance racing or athletes with palmares and pedigree coming back from injury or maternity.

The T100 Triathlon World Tour

With 9 races in the 2025 T100 Triathlon World Tour, each contracted pro must race a minimum of 4 events plus the Qatar T100 Triathlon World Championship Final. Athletes can race more events to ensure they start the Qatar T100 Triathlon World Championship Final with their best scores banked.

The sum of each athlete’s 4 best point-scoring performances plus their score from the Qatar T100 Triathlon World Championship Final – where more points are on offer – will give each athlete’s total score.

The female and male athlete with highest total will be crowned the 2025 T100 Triathlon World Champion.

Points

20 athletes of each gender will line up for each T100 Triathlon race. Based on their own race selection, this will be a mix of contracted athletes and Hot Shots with Wildcards filling any remaining spaces. Every finishing position earns points, from 35 points for 1st place to 1 point for 20th in the T100 Race To Qatar Standings. To spice up the climax of the season, the Qatar T100 Triathlon World Championship Final will offer even more points to keep every athlete fighting for each position.

Ties

If athletes are tied in the T100 Triathlon World Tour standings, the following tie-breaker logic is applied:

  • Best T100 Triathlon World Championship Final finishing position
  • If T100 Triathlon World Championship Final not yet raced, best position in a T100 Triathlon race
  • If still tied, most recent best position takes priority

Prior to the Dubai T100 World Championship Final, the criterion is the best position in a T100 Triathlon race. If one athlete has a 2nd place finish (earning 28 points) and another athlete has two 8th place finishes (2x 14 points), the athlete with the 2nd place finish would be higher in the standings.

If two tied athletes both have a 3rd place finish, the athlete who has most recently achieved the 3rd place would be higher in the standings.

If two or more athletes have the same score following the T100 Triathlon World Championship Final, the highest position in the Final is the decider of their final T100 Triathlon Standings position. By extension, if one athlete completes the T100 Triathlon World Championship Final and another misses it, the athlete who takes part would be positioned higher in the T100 standings.

T100 Earnings

In addition to over $3M in athlete contracts, there will be $250k up for grabs at each T100 Triathlon World Tour event ($125k per gender), totalling $2M over the 8-race T100 Triathlon World Tour, plus a huge end-of-season payout total of $2M paying down to 20th – with each T100 World Champion bagging an extra $210,000 for securing the top spot. All this means each and every point scored will make a difference.
