T100 Explained

Everything you need to know about the ultimate global triathlon tour for pros and participants

T100 is triathlon,

redefined

20 of the world’s best professional triathletes – women and men – battling over a season of 8 breakneck 100km races in iconic locations around the globe in a bid to be crowned the first-ever T100 World Champions.

The T100 Triathlon World Tour will be the official World Championship tour of long-distance triathlon, recognised by World Triathlon, the sport’s global governing body and organised by the PTO.

Why T100?

Named after our unique 100km format, T100 is the sport reimagined: a 2km open-water swim that dictates the field of play, followed by an 80km bike course across varying terrain before a blistering 18km run to the finish line and glory. It’s the perfect combination of redline speed, human endurance and race strategy where it’ll take awesome strength, tactical prowess and perfect execution to take the tape first.

The T100 Triathlon World Tour not only celebrates this 100km format but also enables age group athletes the unique opportunity to compete at the same iconic locations as the professionals – whether trying triathlon for the first time or looking to push your performance limits at this exciting new distance.

Pro Athletes

T100 is the domain of the world’s best triathletes with 20 men and 20 women competing in every race. The majority of the athletes are contracted – either selected based on their PTO World Ranking or awarded a ‘Hotshot’ contract, earned by their standing in the sport outside of their PTO World Ranking Position.

On top of that, there will be ‘Wildcard’ athletes at each event – chosen by exceptional recent performances, top athletes coming back from injury or maternity or Olympians stepping up in distance.

Locations

The T100 Triathlon World Tour features 8 events around the world, providing seasoned fans and newcomers with the full, dramatic story of T100 pro athletes as they go to battle time and again to contest the T100 World Championship title.

The T100 season kicks off in Miami in March, followed by Singapore in April, California in June, London in July, Ibiza in September, Lake Las Vegas in October, Dubai in November and culminating with the T100 World Championship Final at the end of November where two new champions will etch their names into triathlon history.

Whilst the pros battle it out, there will be ample opportunity for age-group athletes to be part of the T100 series, with racing available at all T100 8 events: 6 as official T100 races and 2 partner events hosting T100 pro races.

Athletes will have the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of the professionals (quite literally in some cases!) with age group events taking place on the same roads used for the T100 pros.

Event types will be on offer for all abilities, from fun 5k runs, to standard and long distance duathlons, all the way up to the 100k long distance triathlon. Whatever your background or experience, the T100 will be here to help you redefine your limits and provide that challenge you’ve always dreamed of.

All events are open to anyone; we welcome all ages, abilities, shapes, sizes and confidence levels. So, sign up, join in, be part of something, challenge yourself, and redefine what you thought was possible.
