WHEN IS THE EVENT TAKING PLACE?

The Dubai T100 Triathlon will take place across 12th – 15th November.

The event village, which includes race pack collection and the event expo will be located at Meydan Racecourse. This will also be where athletes finish their race and can enjoy the recovery zone which will include post race refreshment, snacks etc. Please see all key event locations below:

  • Race Pack Collection, Expo & Finish Line – Meydan Racecourse Dubai
  • Swim Start & Transition 1 – Beach Start
  • Transition 2 – Meydan Racecourse Dubai

  • Photo ID or Passport

Athletes will need to check in their bike, with helmet, the day before their race. The exact timings are to be confirmed.

Transition 1 will be located by the beach (exact location tbc) and Transition 2 is located at Meydan Racecourse, this means that transitions will be split.

Due to the swim start and Transition 1 being at Jumeirah 3 Beach and Transition 2 located at Meydan Racecourse, this means that transitions will be split.

A split transition triathlon refers to when the transition areas between the swim-to-bike (T1) and bike-to-run (T2) legs are located in different places, rather than being in the same location as in most traditional triathlons.

Breakdown of a Split Transition:

T1 (Transition 1): The transition from swim to bike. After completing the swim, athletes will collect their bike, helmet and other items to begin the cycling portion of the triathlon. Athletes must leave all items in their ‘T1 Bag’ which will be transported to the finish line area for collection post race.

T2 (Transition 2): The transition from bike to run. At the end of the cycling segment, athletes dismount their bikes at Meydan Racecourse and switch to running gear at a different location than T1. Athletes will collect their ‘T2 Bag’ upon dropping off their bike in order to get changed into their relevant run gear.

Your race backs MUST be dropped off at the following locations and time.

After-Race Bag: At the beach, at least 20 minutes before your swim start

T1 Bag: Dropped off with your bike during bike check-in the. One day before the race.

T2 Bag: If you are NOT taking the shuttle bus to the start area on your race morning, you MUST drop your T2 bag on Friday (Sprint Athletes) and Saturday (T100 Athletes) at T2 in Meydan. Athletes taking the shuttle bus can drop their T2 bag at Meydan Racecourse before boarding the bus.

During race pack collection you will be provided with three bags. After-Race Bag, T1, and T2 bags. Please see below what items will go in each bag and when they will be used.

  • After-Race Bag: Any items of clothing or belongings you wear or bring with you to the start line can be placed in this bag and dropped off. These will be transported back to Meydan for collection post race.
  • T1: Any items required for the bike: Bike shoes, socks, sunglasses, energy gels
  • T2: Any items required for the run: Race bib, run shoes, socks, sunglasses, cap, water bottle, sports drink, energy gel etc.
