Hayden Wilde Targets Six Wins From Six Races At Dubai T100 Triathlon

by

T100 Communications

Dubai, UAE: Hayden Wilde will be looking to make it an unprecedented six T100 wins from six starts, as the Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) and World Triathlon announced the New Zealander will headline the Dubai T100 Triathlon menโ€™s start list on Saturday 15 November.ย

Wildeโ€™s perfect winning record on the T100 Tour means he leads the T100 Race To Qatar going into the final two events, in Dubai and then the Qatar T100 Triathlon World Championship Final on 10-13 December.ย

All this following an incredible comeback from injury after winning the opening T100 race of the season in Singapore. Wilde then suffered a horror bike crash in Japan at the start of May, in which he punctured his lung, broke six ribs and was left needing surgery on his left scapula. Just 98 days later he returned to win the London T100 Triathlon on 9 August, followed by victories in the French Riviera (30 August), Spain (20 September) and then Wollongong (18 October).ย

โ€œEvery time I race, I feel like I’m getting back to myself. Feeling more confident in the swim, and then building my bike and run. This is one of the best unbeaten streaks Iโ€™ve been on as a professional so I just want to keep the momentum going and not give the others even a sniff. Dubai is another great venue for us to race in, which Iโ€™m really looking forward to.โ€ย

Taking on Wilde will be Belgian Jelle Geens, currently second on the T100 Race To Qatar rankings and a winner in Vancouver, and third placed German Nika Noodt.ย
