General Info
Race through one of Vancouver’s most scenic courses! Starting and finishing at Locarno Beach, next to Jericho Sailing Club, participants will loop around Jericho Beach Park along the stunning shores of Spanish Banks. Enjoy breathtaking ocean, mountain, and city views at every stage of the race!

WHEN IS THE EVENT TAKING PLACE?
The Vancouver T100 Triathlon will take place over 15-16 August 2026.
WHAT DAY IS EACH RACE TAKING PLACE?
Races will take place on the following dates and times.*

WHEN DO I NEED TO COLLECT MY RACE PACK & RACK MY BIKE?
Athletes will need to collect their race pack and rack their bike the day before their race. Registration times are to be confirmed.
WHAT WILL I NEED TO COLLECT MY RACE PACK?
When you arrive to collect your race pack you must bring with you the following items:
- Photo ID
- QR Code (Located in your confirmation email and race dashboard)
- Provincial Triathlon License (if applicable)
DO I NEED A WETSUIT?
Current regulations on wetsuit permission is based on the water temperature being:
Mandatory use of wetsuit if the water is less than 16 degree celsius
Optional use of wetsuit if the water is between 16 to 24.6 degrees celsius
Based on historical records it is likely to be a wetsuit swim. However, please note that the official water temperature is taken 1 hour before the race start.
CAN I WEAR A NEOPRENE CAP & BOOTIES?
If wetsuits are permitted, you will be allowed to wear a neoprene cap. If it is a wetsuit mandatory swim, socks/booties can be worn. The official water temperate is taken 1 hour before the race start.
WILL THERE BE AGE-GROUP AWARDS?
Age-group start from 16-19 and go up every 5 year increment e.g. 20-24, 25-29, 30-34 etc.
HOW MANY QATAR T100 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP SLOTS ARE AVAILABLE?
Top 10 men and women athletes of their specific Age-Group and gender in the 100km Triathlon will qualify for the Qatar T100 World Championships on
December 12-13 2025. More information on the T100 Age-Group World Championships can be found here.
IS THIS RACE A TEAM CANADA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFER?
Yes, in addition to this being a T100 Age Group World Championship Qualifier the Vancouver T100 is a qualifier to represent Team Canada at the 2027 World Triathlon Multisport Championship in Edmonton.
The 100km race will have two qualifying spots per age-group for the Long Distance World Championships in 2027.
Athletes must express their interest to qualify the Friday before the race. Expression of interest can be made HERE and will pne three weeks prior to the race.

WILL THERE BE A BIKE MECHANIC SERVICE AVAILABLE ON-SITE?
Yes, there will be mechanics available on race day for last-minute issues. However, please ensure your bike is in good working condition prior to attending the race.
Where Can I Find My QR CODE & WHEN WILL I NEED IT?
Athletes will need their Race QR Code in order to pick up their race pack. This can be found within your Confirmation Email or Race Dashboard. We recommend taking a screenshot of this so that it is ready and easily accessible when you arrive.
I CAN'T FIND MY QR CODE OR CONFIRMATION EMAIL, WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Your QR Code can be found within your Vancouver T100 confirmation email and race dashboard. Having trouble finding your QR code? Simply click HERE, select ‘My Registration’ from the toolbar, select ‘Click here to have your confirmation email re-sent’, enter your email address (lower case only), and select ‘Send Email’ to have your confirmation email re-sent. You will be able to access your QR Code and Race Dashboard from there.
CAN I VOLUNTEER?
Volunteers are the true champions of our event. Without them, our event would not be possible. We are looking for volunteers to support the event from race kit pick up, to race course operations, to youth festival support.
Volunteers will receive:
- Meal while on shift
- T100 Volunteer T-shirt
- T100 Hat
- T100 String Bag
- Confirmation of hours

WHAT'S IN MY RACE PACK?
SECURITY WRISTBAND: This must be attached to your wrist and not taken off until you have retrieved your bike from Transition after racing. This wristband will be numbered to match your race number.
BIKE NUMBERS: Before the race, stick the three numbered stickers on your helmet (front, left and right) and the other around the seatpost of your bike. These should not be taken off until you remove your bike from Transition after racing.
RACE NUMBER: Your race number must be displayed on your front during the run.
RACE TATTOOS: These are to be applied to your body, you can chose whether they are applied to one on each arm or one on each leg or one on your arm and one on your leg.
TIMING CHIP: You must also pick up your reusable timing chip at chip collection within the registration area. In the preparation area, fasten your timing chip around your left ankle using the Velcro strap. Please do not remove your timing chip until you have completed your triathlon or you will not receive a result. We advise that you put your wetsuit over the timing chip strap. This will help to keep it secure in the water and prevents you from having to remove the strap in Transition. All timing chips must be returned once you cross the Finish Line – there will be a charge of £60 for any unreturned timing chips.
SWIM CAP: During the race pack collection process you will also receive a coloured swim cap. Please note that your swim cap may be a different colour to your race bib and wristband. Please ensure you keep hold o.f it.. It is mandatory to wear the swim cap during the swim.

WHERE IS THE SWIM START LOCATION?
The swim start will take place by Locarno Beach (Jericho Sailing Centre).
CAN I DRAFT DURING THE CYCLING LEG?
No drafting is allowed i.e. taking shelter behind or beside another competitor during the cycling leg of the race.
IS THE SWIM A MASS OR PULSE START?
The swim will be a rolling start with participants setting off approximately every couple of seconds. The swim start will be seeded based on the expected swim time provided during registration. You can edit your registration and update your time by heading to your Race Dashboard.
IS THIS A QUALIFIER FOR THE T100 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS?
Yes, the 100km distance triathlon is a qualifier for the Qatar T100 World Championships 2026.

Athletes will be notified no later than 28 days after the event that they have qualified. Athletes must then seek endorsement from their National Federation and wear their national race suit in order to race.

The Vancouver T100 100km bike course takes athletes on four scenic laps past the golden sands of Spanish Banks, with the vast ocean stretching endlessly beside you.
The course then climbs toward the prestigious University of British Columbia, offering sweeping panoramic views before a thrilling descent back toward the coast. This ride offers the perfect mix of speed, elevation, and breathtaking scenery, making it both a thrilling and stunning ride.
Run (18km) - TBC

The Vancouver T100 100km run course consists of three fast and scenic out-and-back stretch along the beach pathways with sweeping ocean and city skyline views.
Runners will complete this loop three times, enjoying the refreshing sea breeze and the lively energy of the course.
