Al Mamzar, Dubai: Hayden Wilde will headline the men’s T100 in Dubai, following confirmation of the start list by the Professional Triathletes Organisation and World Triathlon for the race now happening at Al Mamzar on Saturday 14 November.

It follows the announcement earlier this week that the Saudi Arabia T100 event, due to take place in Jeddah on 27 November, will become part of the 2027 calendar on 16-17 April.

Wilde (NZL) is the current T100 Race To Qatar series leader and defending T100 World Champion and will be taking on second placed Jake Birthwhistle (AUS) and third placed Lasse Nygaad Priester (GER), as well as a returning Mika Noodt (GER) and a rejuvenated Kyle Smith (NZL).

The Olympic star is also planning to take part in the World Triathlon Championship Series (WTCS) Abu Dhabi Sprint distance race on the Friday afternoon [13 November], in another of his daring doubles.

“I’m looking forward to getting back to racing,” said Wilde. “I enjoy coming to Dubai to train and race, so next week will be no different. If there’s a chance to have a crack at both the WTCS Abu Dhabi and Dubai T100, then I’m all in. Doing the shorter race first should actually help. On the French Riviera last year it was the other way around. But we’ll see how we go.”

The men will go off at 1003 local time on Saturday, 5 minutes ahead of the women’s T100 race at 1008, with both races shown live on the PTO’s global broadcast network.

The start list includes the following, with two further names to be added:

  1. Hayden Wilde (NZL)
  2. Jake Birtwhistle (AUS)
  3. Lasse Nygaard Priester (GER)
  4. Rico Bogen (GER)
  5. Gregor Payet (LUX)
  6. Menno Koolhaas (NED)
  7. Kyle Smith (NZL)
  8. Kurt McDonald (AUS)
  9. Henry Rappo (EST)
  10.  Mika Noodt (GER)
  11.  Will Draper (GBR)
  12.  Antonio Benito Lopez (ESP)
  13.  Jannik Schaufler (GER)
  14.  Andrea Salvisberg (SUI)
  15.  Kieran Storch (AUS)
  16.  Filipe Azevedo (POR)
  17.  Thomas Davis (GBR)
  18.  Quentin Barreau (FRA)
